What is your background, and what do you do in Barmetrix?

“I am a knowledge addict. I have two Bachelors Degrees – Electrical Engineering and Technical Management. I love to learn and need to keep learning to stay satisfied! I am an Account Manager (Consultant) in Toronto Canada, and it’s my job as an industry expert to help my clients grow their businesses to full potential. My team and I show them how to keep their inventory under control, drive their profits up, and work to find solutions to the challenges they face in business.”

How did you come to be part of the team, and what keeps you going?

“I first started with Barmetrix as a part-time Data Collector in Sydney, Australia. My girlfriend who was from Toronto needed to return to Canada and I wanted to join her. Barmetrix was preparing to open an office in Toronto at that time, and took me on as a Junior Account Manager. With my experience in Sydney and 9 months of hard work in Toronto I was promoted and given my own set of accounts.”

“I stay with this company for many reasons. I could never work for a company that doesn’t invest in their staff – Barmetrix does. I could never work with people that didn’t care 100% about what they do – Barmetrix does. No one is here to punch the clock. It’s a great team and a great atmosphere – very young, aggressive and passionate – yet no bureaucracy or hidden agendas. Plus the opportunity for growth is amazing. You just don’t want to walk away from something like this.”

How have you grown since working here?

“I’ve gone from a Data Collector to being trained as an expert Hospitality Consultant in the leading company of its kind in the world. My team has grown by 400% over the last year alone. The experience I have gained through the process is so valuable. Barmetrix has provided all the opportunities I can adsorb and I am taking full advantage of it.”

What is the best part about turning up for work?

“Helping clients use their reports to make strategic decisions in their business is the best part of the job. Being of assistance on this level and watching many clients turn things around is a wonderful thing to do for a living. Extremely satisfying work.”

What would you tell someone considering a job with Barmetrix?

“Everybody has a chance to excel here. This company strives for excellence and is always striving to make improvements. We are professional in the way we dress, talk, approach the market - we get the job done and ensure it’s right every time.

My overall experience so far has been wonderful – you will learn from everyone in the company. You get a great deal of autonomy but you are never alone; you are part of an elite team. I love the business I am in right now and would never have seen it if I had not come across the consulting field by chance. I am so glad I did.”
